Competition of young artists of popular music «New wave 2011» in Jürmala (Latvia) starts on the 26th of July.
The international competition of young artists of popular music «New wave» is a great event not only in Russia and Latvia, but also in the neighboring countries and far abroad throughout several years already. Interest of millions tv viewers which root for contestants, and concert programs of competition prove that « New wave» became long-awaited annual musical event of Europe.
Composers Igor Krutoj and Raimond Pauls had an idea to organize new competition, different from everything done before on territory of Russia and the CIS countries in the beginning of 2002. Such grand musical forum allows to open new young talented artists - not only in Russia, but also beyond its limits.
The competition « New wave 2002» became the first successful experience. Both professionals and the audience were convinced: such competition is necessary for all the countries which aspire to open new talents.
